Elections, Lezhe situation changes

Under high security measures, the Central Election Commission changed the situation in the Lezhe District, with the fourth Parliamentary seat won by the left coalition went to the coalition of the Democratic Party.

The former member of the Central Election Commission, now representative of the Socialist Movement for Integration, raises questions about the accuracy of this document.

“In the first days of the ballot counting process, the electronic system divided four seats for the left and thre for the right coalition. Why is it changing after several days, again by the system”, Muho declared.

While the Electoral Code foresees no article that is based on the electronic system data for completing the final result, for the left wing this will be another request.

“The system guarantees a preliminary result and I believe that the terminology used is a result that cannot be used as a final official document. Unfortunately, the Central Election Commission did not leave its passion to serve to the opposition, even in these days when the process is about to end. What we will to is to oppose this practice and others that we have seen in Lezhe through an appeal. There are elements that need to be evaluated even for being invalidated”, declared the Socialist Party representative, Genc Gjoncaj.

The problem of the Lezhe district does not end with the 10 polling stations that belong to the town. The left representatives say that they will make appeals even for the polling stations in Mamurras and Lac, after the incidents where after the incidents that took place, the Democratic Party coalition won with 90% of the votes. This increases chances for a revote in the Lezhe district.

According to the final the Central Election Commission tabulate for Lezhe, the mandate that belonged to Socialist Arben Noka now goes to the Democratic Party candidate, Vasil Bici. But the final word will apparently be said by the Electoral College.
