College accepts SMI request for Kukes

College accepts SMI request for Kukes

The Electoral College accepted the Socialist Movement for Integration request for opening the ballot boxes in Kukes.

After the request of the Central Election Commission was rejected, the Socialist Movement for Integration introduced their request claiming that one mandate had been removed from them in this district. As evidence this political force introduced a video in which was shown the discrepancy of the number of ballots with the tabulate results.

The College accepted to administer the evidence and asked an expertise act for the claims of the Socialist Movement for Integration.

The third mandate of the Democratic Party and the mandate of Socialist Movement for Integration in Kukes are divided by a razor sharp difference. Initially results were showing a division of 2 mandates for the opposition and two for the government, but the tabulates were corrected later by the Central Election Commission and the Democratic Party received three mandates, the Socialist Party 1 and Socialist Movement for Integration none.

One day earlier this institution accepted the Socialist Party’s request, considering the vote recount by the Central Election Commission as illegal. The decision arrived on the day when the Central Election Commission recounted the Shkoder District votes.

Regardless of this decision, the Central Election Commission did not stop the recount and argued that the College’s verdict was only for Lezhe.
