In future will his name still be pronounced Verrattì, with
the accent on the 'i'? It's difficult to say for the time being. There's
an all-important meeting looming which could decide it all however.
Tomorrow Marco Verratti's agent, Donato Di Campli, will meet Paris Saint
Germain board members to work things out. It will be a crucial
face-to-face encounter and will determine the future of the Italy
midfielder.
demands —
One thing which is certain is that Marco Verratti will ask PSG to bring
his contract into line. These are the demands that Di Campli will take
to Paris and he won't budge an inch on them. Verratti had an excellent
first season at PSG and now he wants to receive recognition for this.
Italian interest —
In the background there are a few rumbles on the market as all eyes are
on the negotiations. It was Di Campli who revealed to Gazzetta.it that
he had received calls on his mobile from both Fiorentina and from
Juventus. "We'll ask for these adjustments," said Di Campli to Gazzetta.it ,
"because Fiorentina have expressed some interest in the player, as have
Juventus." At this stage it looks likely that should PSG reject the
demands, Italian clubs could be interested, with two of them to the
fore. Fiorentina and Juve are ready to make their moves.
